Bridging to the Future mission is to create economic independence for individuals, communities, marginalised groups and regions through entrepreneurship, leadership and education. A crucial part of this is to enact socio-economic change through enabling communities to help themselves and to create and develop their own local businesses, social enterprises and community led solutions. We have two main departments: we started as an investment company, investing in start-ups and early growth businesses across a range of sectors and countries. We then diversified to create a second department. This second department focusses on designing, testing and delivering programmes and methodologies to create more leaders, more start-ups, more sustainably growing businesses, more entrepreneurs and overall greater economic independence.
